Our Little Donald Trump

Griffen's hair was getting pretty long. We kept calling him Donald because it was so thick and long on top. We finally had some free time and took him for a haircut. We took him to Cool Cuts for Kids. I was pleased. Always nervous when someone starts at your child's hair with clippers! He did really well through the whole process until she took the clippers above his ears. I think it just tickled. Who knows?!  Here are a few pics from the event.

The Before:
Excited to drive the taxi. He was so funny because he acted like he knew exactly what to do!
Look at how much hair this child has!!

 "Help me mom!!"
 The After! Our little man!!

The Pumpkin Patch

This last Saturday we were able to take Griffen to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. It was so much fun! I hadn't been since my second year of teaching on a field trip and Scott hadn't been in several years either. My parents went with us to help capture as many pictures as possible.

If Scott were telling this he would say "the event was like a well-oiled machine." We tried to time our trip around Griffen's morning nap and to get as cool weather as possible. We were at the pumpkin patch when the gates opened at 9am. Griffen enjoyed every moment of it. He didn't know where to look. It was so fun to see things through his eyes and enjoy everything from the rows and rows of pumpkins to the house made of pumpkins. Here are just a few of the 100+ pictures that we took in the 45 minutes or so that we were there. :-) It was a short trip but we enjoyed every minute of it. We know that next year Griffen will want to be running around touching every pumpkin so we enjoyed this more laid back trip this year.

After all of our fun...we headed home and Griffen slept for 3 hours! He obviously enjoyed his time at the pumpkin patch, so much so that he was worn out completely. We are looking forward to many more memories there each year.

Our Little Explorer

Now that Griffen is crawling, he is ALL over the place. Pretty much the only time he's not exploring the world around him is when he's (1) eating, (2) sleeping, or (3) watching Baby Einstein. He's quickly being taught "No" and "Hands off." Here are a few pics from the last week or so since he's started crawling. He daily becoming faster and faster. Gotta love it!
Watching Baby Einstein...notice he's ready to take off at any moment.
Found his way under the kitchen table.
Nothing like hanging out under the exersaucer. :-)
On this particular night, he wasn't satisfied with sitting and eating his bottle...he had to stand!
Gotta pull all of the toys out to find just the right one.
Loving his new toy!

As you can tell from the pictures, he is definitely an active little man. I'm loving every minute though. He is so fun to watch as he's exploring his new world around him through crawling. So blessed to get to watch him grow and change everyday!
